Sometimes I think it would be really cool to learn how to some Asian-inspired cooking. Nothing like what I’ve seen on Top Chef or the Food Network, but just a few of the favorites. I’ve been really wanting to get a wok, but I have no idea where I would store it. Thus, another good reason to be cleaning out the cabinets. So, just for the fun of it, I bought one of those all in one kits, for kung pao. I figured it would be easy and I’m pretty good at adding enough things to get boxed meals to taste pretty good. So, we decided to that for dinner and also grab a couple egg rolls from Ming Shee. But, while I was finishing up another kitchen project, Rob ran across the Schnucks add, featuring the 3.99 bags of frozen chicken breasts. We put dinner on hold to run over and stock up those, crab legs and some fresh chicken thighs they had on sale. Of course, that all turned into a cart full of other things. Then, our brilliant idea to have sake with dinner was foiled when we searched every isle of the liquor section and came up empty. I know I should have gone to Friar Tuck, but it was a convenience thing. I’m not sure I would even know which type of sake to buy. It was just a thought. So, by the time we got home, we were starving so I immediately started cooking all the ingredients. Unfortunately, I didn’t really doctor anything and I really didn’t have much except for peanuts to add to the dish. It was horrible. Good thing we got the egg rolls from Ming Shee. I’m staying away from the Asian cooking isle. Until I learn what the hell I’m doing.

There is a idea for a cooking class….
I’m totally in if you do it!!
