Guess Who’s Grumpy?

Written on March 31st in Uncategorized

I’ve had spring fever for a few weeks now and I’m just sick of the cold, crappy weather. Every day I talk to my friend in Alabama and I keep hearing how it’s in the 70’s and then I watch Good Morning America and realize that usually whatever’s going on with the weather in NYC, it’s about the same here. I keep hearing from other friends who have moved back how they don’t know how much longer they can take the weather and then I get grumpy because I’ve never lived anywhere else, let alone some place warm more days than not. Grrrr. The drastic changes in temperature are doing nothing for my asthma and allergies. I was up for two hours this morning trying to get my breathing regulated so I could get back to sleep. I want to watch tonight’s Bradley game at the bar but I really just want to curl up and catch up on the sleep I haven’t really gotten. Hopefully some sleep will improve my disposition.

It’s a small one. Really. I seem to have gotten myself addicted to Starbuck’s Skinny Cinnamon Dolce Lattes. Seriously. Yes, I understand all the corporate monster stuff but the fact remains the same. They are soooo good. And pretty low in calories too-always a plus. In my quest to add caffeine to my system before work, I have to go completely out of my way. In all actuality it takes me around six-seven minutes to get to work by just shooting down Knoxville. Coffee options on Knoxville: McDonalds and Dunkin Donuts. I’ve never been a huge fan of the coffee at McDonalds but I do sometimes like the iced coffee from Dunkin Donuts. Of course, the minute I turn out of the parking lot to get back on southbound Knoxville the coffee tips over out of that big old hole they have in their lids and my leather interior is soaking up cream and sweetner for days. My solution: Someone should build a coffee shop with a drive thru. The old Lum’s office or the old Burger King lot would be perfect locations since there’s a traffic light right there. I’d promise to stop in 3-5 times a week. Please??

I Did It…

I was able to get six Buffett tickets for the Saturday 7/26 show. They were the highest priced tickets but at 10:00am yesterday, I was taking what I could get. Rob hasn’t been to a show in three years and I had to skip last year, so I was willing to do what I could to make sure we were going this year. Happy Anniversary two months early honey!
Only thirteen more days until Patty’s Day!!
