Getting Into the Holiday Spirit

Written on November 26th in Uncategorized

Apparently Rob took to heart what I said about cleaning before any decorations go up because the house is getting pretty clean. Just a few more rooms to go and we’ll be all set. Yesterday, he spent most of the day cussing and throwing things. Yep-he was installing the new flat-screen and surround sound. If I know something will piss me off that much, I’ll have someone else do it. I think 99% of males lack that particular gene.
Soooo…I’ve been trying to figure out which movie is my absolute favorite holiday movie. I think I have to go with Christmas Vacation, followed by A Christmas Story and ELF. Does anyone agree or disagree?

I agree but would have to add “Its a Wonderful Life”. It wouldn’t be Christmas without it.

I love ELF. My husband doesn’t like Will Ferrel, so he won’t watch it, so annoying, because it’s so good.

I’d have to go with Christmas Vacation, It’s a Wonderful Life for the classic, and A Christmas Story (I want one of those leg lamps!!), and because of Patrick Stewart, A Christmas Carol. I don’t usually watch all of them in a single year…but eventually, I see them again and again.

BTW, Rob should have called me when he was setting up the TV and Surround Sound!! I would have gladly helped! Though, I would have taken the installation if it was free….I wouldn’t have paid for it, though….no way!!! :-)

I almost forgot Scrooged! Bill Murray was brilliant in that movie.

Favorite line from Christmas Vacation; “Shitters full!”
