Lesson Learned

Written on March 23rd in Uncategorized

It only took me 30 years, but I’ve now realized that it’s muy importante to read the directions on prescription medicine. Usually, when it comes to like Nyquil or Robitussin, I just take a couple gulps and that’s that. I did that with prescription cough syrup with codeine. The directions, which I later read, stated to take 1-2 tsp every 4 hours. Anything over could cause severe breathing problems. Just my luck. Within 30 minutes I was feeling sick, queasy and overheated. The next morning/afternoon I would vomit anytime I got out of bed. It took a good 24 hrs until it was all out of my system. I learned my lesson. No more prescription cough medicine.
