Rob made it home from Michigan last night. Nothing like a 6.5 hour drive in the evening with horrible weather. Only Rob would look out his hotel window and see a restaurant that serves wild game. I think he was in heaven. Hmmm….gun show in Michigan or the Jaycees Easter Egg Hunt at Detweiller Park? Thankfully, the weather here warmed up just in time for all the festivities.
The dogs know when the daddy is away. I can always count on the 2:30am round of barking that scares the crap out of me. I get up, look out the window, and get everybody back to bed. Aiko-The Intimidator-just chills, head leaning over the shoulder, refusing to stand guard in the living room. Sophie-the Princess-who would scare no one, stares out the window until the sun shines in. Talk about role reversal.
Vito, the dog that sees dead people, thinks he’s being the big guard dog by growling at everything. Bella is happy lying next to me and not moving. Yogi just follows everyone else’s lead. Someday, I’ll record the chorus and maybe someone will understand how it’s impossible for me to relax and sleep when Rob’s out of town.
You need to look for a excuse to leave town just to see how the dogs react to your absence.
Waitaminute … you have FOUR dogs? That’s just too wierd. At least it’s not four cats.
Actually Bill, it is 5: Vito, Sophie, Aiko, Bella and Yogi.
